Resume Search Tags for Microsoft Live

There are several commands that are unique to the Live search engine. The ‘prefer’ command adds emphasis on a particular search word. You can use the above command to search for resumes having a particular skill set, educational qualification, etc.

The Live search syntax is

(intitle:resume OR inurl:resume) prefer:"skill set/qualification" "keyword"

If you are looking for a software architect with a Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) certification, the search string will be

(intitle:resume OR inurl:resume) prefer:"mcad" "software architect"

You can use the above search string, substituting it with keywords of your choice, to find resumes that you would have otherwise missed out.
